We may use service providers that support our communications and business operations when reasonably necessary to provide those services. SMS opt-in consent information is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

5. Vehicle Ownership, Identity Verification and NASTF/VSP Records

Certain automotive locksmith and vehicle-security services require Fishers Auto Locks to verify the identity of the customer and the customer's ownership of, or lawful authorization to access, the vehicle.

Depending on the service and applicable requirements, we may request, photograph, scan, or otherwise collect information from a valid driver's license or other government-issued identification and documents showing vehicle ownership or authorization, such as vehicle registration, title, insurance documentation, bill of sale, rental or fleet authorization, or other acceptable proof.

When a service involves a security-related transaction performed using Vehicle Security Professional (VSP) credentials through the National Automotive Service Task Force (NASTF) Secure Data Release Model (SDRM), Fishers Auto Locks may collect, use, document, and submit customer, vehicle, identification, ownership, authorization, and service information as required to verify lawful authorization and comply with applicable NASTF, SDRM, vehicle manufacturer, and legal requirements.

Identification and proof-of-ownership or authorization information is used only as reasonably necessary to verify identity and lawful vehicle access, provide the requested locksmith or vehicle-security service, document the transaction, prevent fraud or unauthorized access, and satisfy applicable NASTF/SDRM, manufacturer, regulatory, or legal requirements.

Fishers Auto Locks does not sell identification or proof-of-ownership documentation and does not share it with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Information may be disclosed or transmitted when reasonably necessary to NASTF/SDRM, an applicable vehicle manufacturer or authorized security system, service providers acting on our behalf, or government or law-enforcement authorities when required by applicable law or valid legal process.

We limit access to identification and ownership documentation to authorized purposes and take reasonable measures to protect it. We retain such information only for as long as reasonably necessary or required for the applicable transaction, NASTF/SDRM or manufacturer requirements, recordkeeping, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal obligations. Local copies that are no longer required are securely deleted or destroyed in accordance with applicable requirements.

VSP credentials, passwords, security codes, key codes, immobilizer or security information, and other restricted security-related information are not sold, traded, or shared for unrelated purposes. Fishers Auto Locks uses such information only for authorized vehicle-security services and in accordance with applicable NASTF/VSP, SDRM, manufacturer, and legal requirements.
